It’s been a little over a month since we all lost a friend, Matthew Perry.

The star of the hit sitcom Friends died at his Los Angeles home on October 28 after drowning in his hot tub. Perry’s death hit a special place for many, especially for his Friend’s costars. So much so, Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green in the sitcom, is hosting a special get-together to honor her late friend. The gathering is exclusive only to the Friends cast.

Jennifer Aniston Friends Get-Together

A source told OK Magazine, “It was always their plan to get together just the five of them, so they could feel comfortable about saying whatever’s on their minds.”

“They’ll reminisce about some of their favorite times with Matt and share stories and laugh and cry,” they added of the longtime costars, this get-together will be a private way for them to mourn the loss of their dear friend. “The funeral was such a sad occasion, but it was mainly for Matt’s family, and they held back out of respect for them.”

Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer all attended Perry’s memorial service last month.

As for the special get-together, the source shared the event will take place at Aniston’s home. Aniston lives in Bel-Air, California.

“She’s planning a nice evening with good food, some wine and lots of candles and soft music. She’ll break out the photo albums and candid videos and maybe even have a slide show.”

Matthew Perry’s Cause of Death

Matthew Perry struggled with addiction most of his life, sometimes even intoxicated while filming Friends. The Friends cast say they were aware of Perry’s struggles and wonder what they could have done to help, a source said.

Perry’s official cause of death was from acute effects of the drug ketamine, which investigators say he was using for treatment for anxiety and depression.

“The cause of death for 54-year-old actor Matthew Langford Perry as the acute effects of ketamine. Contributing factors in Mr. Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine (used to treat opioid use disorder),” the document, obtained by The Blast, states.
